Bunya Mountains Drive

The attractive township of  Bell is located in the foothills of the beautiful Bunya Mountains.

Discover the splendour of the rainforest, bunya pines, wildlife and local crafts or take one of the many walking trails. Birdwatching and feeding the Wallabies at the Dandabah Village.

Note: It is advised that you do not take caravans up the mountain drive as the road is steep and narrow with sharp hairpin bends.

Attractions in the town of Bell

Enjoy Devonshire Tea at the Bell Bunya Community Centre and view the impressive local art gallery.

Breakfast/lunch at the destination cafe “Pips ‘n Cherries” in the old Masonic Hall, Popey’s Machinery Shed, Bell Railway Museum, Catholic Church Mural Display and Biblical Garden, historic Cemetery and views from Cody’s Hill.

Lawn Bowls Club, 18 Hole Golf Course, Showground and Race Course.

Enjoy a visit to historic Jimbour House (approx 20kms) which now has house tours as well as garden tours, Bunya Mountains Scenic Loop Drive.

Rather than setting up/packing up every day use Bell as a base for day trips to the Bunya Mountains, Jandowae, Coopers Gap Windfarm (QLD’s largest with 122 turbines), Dalby, Kingaroy and all places in between and take advantage of our special offer seen on front page.
